Yep, I already failed epically on the blogging!! Unfortunately (but very much fortunately) I have been so tired when I get home from these massive days that I haven't been able to think of what to type! So I just haven't. But here goes.
Thursday
Arrived at 6:00am, got to the flat by 7:30am via the Heathrow Express and black cab, and nearly wanted to go to bed. But I didn't. I had breakfast with Anthony and he talked me through everything under the sun about London transport and things to do and recommendations and so on and so forth.
We then put words into actions and went into London. Tube : "OMG! Where am I?" Went into Central London and walked along the South Bank seeing such sights as the bridges, the Thames, The London Eye, Big Ben, lots of Theatres, and Parliamentary houses and schools and churches, to be quite honest I don't remember them all. We then walked across Milennium Bridge (and I had a Harry Potter moment :) ! ) down towards St Paul's Cathedral (Mary Poppins moment - I sang 'Feed the Birds' literally for the rest of the day).
Now I have always been one of theose people who say that a building looks nice and when people talk about achitecture I tend to zone out... but holy moly. The only way to describe St Paul's - It's Just...
I can't wait to go back and actually look inside of St Paul's because it is insanly... It's Just.
Anywhoos, from there we had lunch and went to Soho/Covent Garden area. This has seriously got to be one of the most social and uplifting atmospheres ever! I loved it here. Markets and street performers which never fail to entertain, good food (Creme de la Crepe!), lots of old buildings, lots of new buildings. It's just so lovely. From here we headed home to have some dinner and chill out time.
Well my grand suggestion of pasta ended up being cooked by Anthony as I began to fall asleep at the Kitchen table. Had dinner, and crashed. Night Night. No photos taken today but totally mesmorised but how much I saw and in such a short amount of time.
