I am currently reading Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks and read something today that really intrigued me. I'm not sure why and I am still deciphering it for myself but I thought I would share it with you. For those who don't know the book, it is about a man's life before and during WWI.
He says to a fellow colleague whilst in the trenches:
"This is not a war, this is an exploration of how far men can be degraded."

London on the Weekend!
Well I had a most fantabulous weekend!! Best Night in london so far!!
Caught the train up to London on Saturday and met Sian at London Victoria where we head of on our weekend adventure to here, there and everywhere. Went shopping and brought way too much stuff especially in the Disney shop!! :) :)
We then head across town towards Hyde Park to find our accommodation so that we could get ready for Cirque Du Soleil! It started snowing when we came out of the Hostel which was so cool! We were both like giggling four year olds! :) We walked through Hyde Park across to the Royal Albert Hall (nearly getting sent in the wrong direction) and went to find our seats.
We had the best seats ever!!!! We were.. in the boxes.. looking directly onto the stage... ! It was amazing! apparently we also had the best box because it was the only one in all of Royal Albert Hall to have an embroided entry! The rest had plain red walls and ours was red with lots of white patterns. A couple of glasses of champagne and the best seats in the house... We were set.
It was seriously the best night I have had since being here, it was amazing!
My thoughts still stand on going home, saving heaps of money and then doing a cirque road trip in America to all the residency shows over there (because ther are like 10 or so).
Anyways, besides that nothing new... I will try to put a few photos up tonight but I haven't really taken any at all...
Ireland next weekend so I'm not sure this will be updated on the go so I will have to give a massive rundown afterwards.
I will try to keep this updated weekly but as perviously said it''s the same old, same old most weeks.
