First Day

So my first day yesterday was insanely good! Anthony helped me around town like there was no tomorrow (I was very lost!). Went on tubes, trains, planes and buses all in one day. Saw St Paul's Cathedral, Soho, Covent Garden, The Eye, Big Ben, Westminster, Pretty much all major things on the Thames, Oxford Street, Milennium Bridge... the list goes on. Going back to explore lots of things today so I am going to take photos and everything and go into more detail for you all.

Here At Long Last...

This post will be a bit funny because I wrote it at different times and different places but had no internet connection so I couldn't actually post it. So here it is all at once.

Got to Sydney Airport saw the Llewelyns, said a quick goodbye to family, got told a customs I look a bit dodgy (jokingly) and set of on my first lonesome journey.

All was good at the start of the first flight, had a lovely chat tot he guy next to  me (who looked like the guy off TV who tries to make food more inventive in weird places like Cinemas and Airplanes) and then the babies in the seats in front of us started crying. Four hours!!! They finally became quiet but I became restless. And then we dropped a few hundred feet.
Awesome. After only maybe two hours of calmness me, the babies started crying again. For the whole last hour I wanted to hit them with the diary that was in my hand and them them that I'm tired too!!! But that would be stupid now wouldn't it.
Descending took forever and was very bumpy but the landing was sooo smooth (best yet I would say).

In Singapore airport I went to the bar. Hopefully that would put me to sleep on the next flight. Although 28 degrees Celcius at 10:00pm is so not cool! I think England is going to be a bigger shock now, more so than from Aussie whether.
Flight started boarding an hour late than originally told, take off was good. After about 30 minutes we hit a very turbulent spot and dropped again. My confidence in planes and getting to my destination was feeling somewhat smaller. But I tried to go to sleep and when I woke, felt I had a reasonable sleep, when I look at the time and it's only been two hours... Oh dear. Fell asleep again, but once again, two hours. It was now that I really needed to sleep as it's night time in UK but no. I sit here typing this up so that when I get WiFi I won't forget. There is now five hours and 42 minutes and I have no intention of sleeping anymore. About an hour ago I looked at the travel path and the line must had just dropped halfway down the earth! Must have been a big drop earlier -

Thought I could hold off on a 14 hour flight without going to the ladies. No, that didn't happen, but I had a bit of a giggle in the toilet. Bit ironic but right next to the NO SMOKING sign was a pull-down ash tray. Hehe

Christmas Day. 3 Sleeps Now.

Christmas morning. Wake up and watch an episode of hellcats. Spend the morning with family opening presents and having a laugh and eating chocolate at 8:00 in the morning. All is good and then BAM. I don't know what set it off but the tears just started flowing. Feeling better now, having lunch with rellies. But what a morning...

Packing...

It's 3:18am and I have just finished doing a 'practice pack' as my uncle would say. I couldn't sleep and was in the middle of doing my sister's Christmas present (a heap of canvases with pictures and words and paint and glitter and butterflies and love hearts and......) when I decided I should actually start looking at what I should take away with  me. It was going well.

I just have one slight issue. I think it has been way too easy!! I have fit all of my clothes and shoes (minus jumpers and clothes that are in the wash - or at least, on their way to the laundry) into one bag, whilst sneaking a few summer things in there! The catch, I hear you ask. I am taking two bags (plus a big carry on bag which can fit heaps!!). So therefore I think I have missed something massive! But I don't know.

Tops, Bottoms, Undies, Bras, Fat-Suckers, Dresses, Skirts, Socks (!!!!!!), Shoes, Leotards, Stockings, Dance Shoes, Leg Warmers, Knee Pads, More Socks and two Jumpers. All in one bag.

I think I'm going to pull it all out and write every item down individually, so I know quantities and hopefully I will know if I have forgotten anything. Please leave a comment if you have anything in mind that I may have forgotten.

5 Days to go!

Went out last night to say goodbye to a couple of friends (was supposed to be a massive group of people.. shame on you people ) which turned out to be an awesome night. Ended up coming home at 5:30 am and saw the sun and felt it appropriate to think about going for a run. Yes, only think. Hit the pillow set my alarm for 9:00am so that I would actually get up, turned it off at 9:00am and HELLO 12:04!!!

Crap. So I'm now up and about to pull my wardrobe out and start working out what I am going to be taking away with me for England. First real thought I have had about it and I leave in 5 days, 4 hours and 2 minutes. ARGH!!!!

One Week From Now...

So I was going to have a post about how in exactly a week I would be boarding the plane, but unfortunatley my computer died just before I could write it... so.

ONE WEEK FROM NOW! - I will hopefully have been on the plane, on my way to England, for a whole hour! whoo!!

I haven't even looked at my cupboard, let alone start packing clothes. What other things besides clothes should I take?? Do I need this? Do I need that?? The next week might be a little frantic (I haven't even thought about christmas!!).

Have fun and hopefully I will keep you all updated on the next year!

*Just so you all know... I have never kept a diary or journal going for more than a week, so this is going to be a real test for me. I will try to keep you updated but if i don't post for a couple of days, don't be surprised! Just leave me a gentle reminder to noteback to the world and i will at least try to to say hello.*
